Echium Candicans 'Pride of Madeira'
Echium Candicans 'Pride of Madeira' is mounding shrub that produces magnificent conical flower spikes. It bears fabulous eye-catching, cone-shaped blue clusters from late Spring through Summer. The leaves are arranged in rosettes around the stems at the ends of the branches. It attracts small birds, butterflies and native bees.
It is a lovely architectural plant, valued for the dense sprays of blue flowers. It performs best in full sun, poor and dry soil, and only requires a little water. It is fast growing and should be cut back after flowering for a neat appearance and to promote new growth.
