Cotinus Coggygria 'Royal Purple' - Purple Smoke Bush is a brilliantly coloured deciduous shrub.  It has rich, wine-purple, rounded leaves a fairy-floss like flowers Summer to Autumn.  It grows in most sites preferring a cool, well drained soil.  It is tolerant of cold Winters, dry Summers and frosts.  Prune heavily in Winter to promote strong new growth.  Shelter from searing heat and wind.
