Chives (Allium Tuberosum) is a perennial clumping herb with hollow onion flavoured leaves. Produces an edible mauve pom-pom flower in Spring/Summer. Harvest at the base as required and leaves will continuously regenerate. Prefers well drained soil and full sun position. Water regularly. Chives can be divided in Autumn and Spring. Leaves are used in soups, salads, dips, rices dishes, vegetable and salad dressings.
